[Artisan's Handcraft Record] Assembly and Finishing of the TP-AW Headrest
Share
When choosing an ergonomic chair, people often pay the most attention to the comfort of the seat. But today, we want to show you an accessory that is often overlooked but profoundly affects sitting posture comfort—the headrest.
This month, on the factory assembly line, we documented the process of a master assembling the TP-AW headrest.

When this headrest arrived, it actually consisted of several scattered plastic frames and mesh. The master's first challenge was to insert the entire inner frame with the mesh into the outer frame.

After pressing it in, the master's hand cannot release. He must hold it firmly in place while carefully aligning the screw holes. At this point, intense focus is required to ensure the screws are tightened in the correct spots.

Why such meticulousness? Because even a slight misalignment or overtightening of a screw can cause uneven stress on the entire headrest structure. Later, when users adjust the headrest height or lean back on it, they might feel it sticking or even breaking easily.

This next step is what we believe best demonstrates the "human touch" of craftsmanship. Plastic parts fresh from the mold inevitably have some sharp burrs on the edges. To prevent users from scratching their hands or snagging their clothes when adjusting the headrest, the master carefully feels for and removes all rough burrs with a tool.
Finally, after tightening the screws and repeatedly pushing and pulling the headrest up and down a few times to confirm smooth operation, the job is considered complete.
